IDW & Dark Horse Announce TMNT x Stranger Things Crossover Comic

IDW Publishing and Dark Horse Comics have recently announced a crossover comic event that is bound to excite fans of both the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Stranger Things. The upcoming comic book will showcase characters from both franchises. Although we have limited information at the moment, the cover of the first issue reveals that the Turtles will be wearing all-red bandanas. This detail pays homage to the original Mirage comics that were released before the animated series aired, and featured the Turtles wearing red bandanas. The use of all-red bandanas in the cover art by Fero Peniche, demonstrates a thoughtful attention to detail, as the Stranger Things show takes place in a time period before the Ninja Turtles cartoon first aired. Prior to the cartoon's release, only the original comics featured the turtles in all-red headbands.
