The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have appeared in a new claymation commercial from Nickelodeon Animation. The spot features Michelangelo, who sort of looks like Mutant Mayhem Michelangelo, emerging from a manhole cover with a pizza in hand, capturing the attention of fans and interestingly enough, igniting discussions about the turtles' potential return to television.

Although the commercial is primarily a promotion for Nickelodeon, its impact on fans cannot be overlooked. Social media have been beginning to speculate about the turtles' comeback to TV.
In recent months, the TMNT franchise has thrived in various forms such as comics (Last Ronin), video games (Shredder's Revenge), movies (Mutant Mayhem), and toys/collectibles (Neca). However, there has been a noticeable absence of a serialized TMNT show on television. The release of this commercial has rekindled hope among fans for the return of the beloved heroes in a half shell.
While specific details about a new TV series featuring the four turtles are currently non-existent, fans can look forward to villain-centric movies based on characters from the upcoming TMNT Mutant Mayhem theatrical release. These movies will be available on Paramount+ sometime after the theatrical movie comes out and were announced a while back.
