According to reports from screenrant.com, the upcoming relaunch of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series will feature Michelangelo in an unexpected new role - as a famous TV star in Tokyo who has left behind his life as a ninja and his brothers.
The preview information indicates that issue 2 of the relaunch, set to be released in September, will spotlight Michelangelo's new glamorous existence full of fame and fortune However, his old ninja life seems poised to catch up with him when armed ninjas unexpectedly show up at his apartment.
While the reason for the ninja attack and who is behind it remains a mystery, the synopsis hints that Michelangelo is missing his brothers and the sense of purpose they once shared as a superhero team.
The relaunch appears to be structured by initially reintroducing each of the four Turtles individually over the first four issues, catching up on where they have ended up after going their separate ways from New York.
